Meta wants your next gadget to be Muse-infused
By Pradhyuman,
Meta launched an open-source project named Muse Gadgets to let developers build hardware that connects to its Muse AI agent. Meta provides open-source firmware, a Linux software development kit, and project ideas like HDMI sticks for televisions. Developers can use hardware such as Raspberry Pi or ESP32 boards to connect sensors and displays to the agent. Meta also created a Discord channel for user support.
Nat Friedman, head of product at Meta’s Superintelligence Labs, stated on X that Meta built a USB-C powered device called Muse Home Link. The device connects Muse to home networks and smart appliances. Friedman wrote that Meta made 5,000 Home Link devices to give away to Muse subscribers. The release follows Meta’s launch of Muse for Small Business, which links the agent to software including Shopify and Slack.
