Meta debuts its Muse AI agent. Will consumers trust it?

By Pradhyuman,

Meta introduced a personal AI agent named Muse for U.S. users. The agent runs on Meta's Muse Spark model and connects to services like email and calendars. Meta stated that Muse completes tasks such as booking travel and purchasing items through Link by Stripe. Users can access Muse on the web, iOS, Android, and WhatsApp.

Muse requires a payment card for setup. Meta offers a free tier alongside two paid options: a Power plan for $20 per month and a Maximum plan for $100 per month. Meta said Muse operates inside an isolated virtual machine called Muse Secure VM to separate user data from advertising systems.

The product release follows Meta's $18 billion settlement in August 2026 with 29 states regarding social media harms to children.
