Cerebras CEO says we’re nearing a future where everyone has a personal AI assistant at home

By Pradhyuman,

Cerebras Systems CEO and co-founder Andrew Feldman stated at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 that a future with home AI appliances is near. He pointed to consumer AI agents like Meta’s Muse and Instinct as signs of adoption by everyday users.

Feldman predicts that personal AI assistants will run locally on devices and partly in the cloud, similar to cell phones. He stated that these assistants will have security perimeters and access to credit cards to buy items.

Feldman currently uses a collection of agents to sweep his calendar and pull up information about call participants. He builds hardware infrastructure rather than consumer-facing applications, preferring to supply platforms for other founders.
