Roblox is making it easier to build games with AI - and play them outside Roblox
By Pradhyuman,
At the Roblox Developer Conference, Roblox announced updates to its AI creation tools and platform distribution. The company expanded its prompt-based game creation tool, Build, to Serbia and Singapore after an initial release in New Zealand. The tool now includes desktop support and an asset library. Roblox stated that developers can soon release their creations as standalone apps on mobile devices and consoles, or share games through web links by the end of the year.
Roblox is adding playtesting capabilities to non-player characters and an offline mode later this year. The company partnered with Airwallex to introduce Roblox Wallet, which lets adult U.S. creators transfer daily earnings directly to bank accounts. Roblox reported that developers earned $1.7 billion on the platform over the past 12 months. Roblox CEO David Baszucki stated that users spent more than 29 billion hours playing games on the platform in the last quarter.
