Early Anthropic hire, former METR COO have found a way to rein in rogue AI agents
By Pradhyuman,
AIUC, a startup founded by early Anthropic employee Rune Kvist and former METR COO Rajiv Dattani, raised $40 million in a Series A funding round. Ribbit Capital led the round, with participation from First Harmonic. The company previously closed a $15 million seed round, which puts its total funding at $55 million.
AIUC built an audit standard called AIUC-1 to evaluate AI agents for security risks. To design its tests, the company gathered feedback from a consortium of 250 security and risk leaders. AIUC runs agents through 5,000 tests to check for issues such as jailbreaks and data leaks. Automated systems execute the tests, and human evaluators verify the resulting 100-page audit report.
The startup lists Cursor, Lovable, Harvey, and ElevenLabs as customers.
