Meta’s AI Tamagotchi bet is…working?

Anthropic released its Opus 5.5 model, and OpenAI released GPT-6 model updates 90 minutes later. TechCrunch reported that Meta's personal AI agent, Muse, has early user numbers higher than ChatGPT recorded during its initial mobile launch.
Meta plans to place Muse into camera-free smart glasses and a small Tamagotchi-style wearable device. On the TechCrunch podcast Equity, hosts Kirsten Korosec, Anthony Ha, and Sean O'Kane discussed Meta's consumer product strategy and startup funding. The hosts also detailed a new school for aspiring founders from venture capital firm a16z, alongside two recent deals involving hardware and artificial intelligence.
