Google Maps adds agentic features, including food ordering and hotel bookings

I already look at Google Maps five times a day just to navigate my own neighborhood, but now it wants to read my emails to order my avocado toast. Google is adding features to let you book hotels and order food directly in the app by syncing with your Gmail and calendar. It sounds convenient until you realize you are handing over the keys to your entire digital life just to bypass a food delivery app. We are slowly letting one app run our entire day.
