An anonymous AI model on OpenRouter
OpenRouter released a free AI model named Ox Alpha. OpenRouter described the model as a reasoning tool for coding, sustained agentic work, and production workloads. Stripe CEO Patrick Collison wrote on X that the model is very impressive.
OpenRouter listed the creator as an anonymous third-party provider. Analyst Andrew Curran wrote that early rumors pointed to GLM models from the Chinese company Z.ai. An article on Wccftech suggested the software is an unreleased version of the MAI model from Microsoft. Reddit users posted conflicting claims. Some users wrote that the model is Chinese, and others wrote that it is not.
