Nvidia hardware developments for data centers

TechCrunch reported that Nvidia faces GPU competition from companies like Amazon and Google. In response, Nvidia rolls out its Vera Rubin architecture, which pairs the Rubin GPU with the Vera CPU and storage racks. The system coordinates data across large data centers.

Jason Hardy, the vice president of storage technology at Nvidia, stated that the Vera CPU helps manage memory limits. Hardy said the CPU showed up to a three-fold improvement in operations and stopped flash memory bottlenecks.

Other companies use different methods to manage data traffic. OpenAI wrote in a blog post that its Jalapeño chip keeps workloads within one system to minimize data movement and communication delays.
